AAFMAA and the DAV team up to offer mobile services to veterans 2015-10-15 U.S. Veterans Magazine posted an online article about AAFMAA's 5th Annual DAV Mobile Service Office. The event is always bigger than traditional DAV Mobile Service Offices, where National Service Officers from the DAV travel in mobile offices to help veterans with VA claims, benefits and entitlements. The DAV coordinates these events so that veterans have the opportunity to seek the help of VA experts without having to travel to its national offices. At this year's event, 100 veterans showed up to AAFMAA's Reston headquarters for VA claim assistance and benefits coordination. Both DAV and AAFMAA staff were pleased with the turnout, with representatives from both explaining that helping 100 veterans in the course of a day is miraculous. This kind of service, one DAV representatives said in the article, is invaluable to the military community. Both AAFMAA and the DAV look forward to continued partnership, and veterans in the community can plan on yearly Mobile Service Offices at AAFMAA.
