Keep Your AAFMAA Member Center Account Updated for Faster Service


Since 1879, AAFMAA has helped Members like you and your family ensure you maximize your military benefits and entitlements. Our Family Information Report (FIR) for Grandfathered Members and Military Benefit Analysis (MBA) for Premier Service Members is designed to consolidate your personal, military and financial information into one concise, easy-to-read report. This report outlines what you and your survivors will receive in benefits and entitlements at different stages of your career and life. It also includes a list of all of the documents you have on file with AAFMAA, both physically and digitally.

While all AAFMAA Members have access to their own personal, secure Digital Vault in our Member Center, Grandfathered and Premier Services Members also have access to secure physical vault storage with AAFMAA. If you need one of your documents from our physical vault, simply contact us and we will promptly FedEx your documents free of charge to any location upon your request.

Why Should You Keep Your Member Center Account Updated?

The more information we have about you, and the more accurate it is, the better we can assist you and your loved ones in your times of need. Having all of your essential documents stored with us means we can provide faster service that can help make life easier and access to benefits smoother.

How to Update Your Member Center Account

To ensure you have all of the relevant information on file with AAFMAA, review or download your FIR or MBA on the Member Center by clicking on the “MY DOCUMENTS” tab. Your FIR/MBA report is a useful working document to share important information with survivors.

Add your essential documents to your Digital Vault by clicking “Upload to Digital Vault.” You can also categorize documents that are in your file. Documents you have already uploaded to your Digital Vault will be listed under “Documents on file” on your FIR/MBA report. You are the only one who will have access to this information in your account, other than AAFMAA. Additionally, you can update your life insurance policies with other organizations using the “Other Life Insurance Information” link under the “MY PROFILE” tab. This information will display on your FIR/MBA report under the section “Insurance Policies.”
