AAFMAA’s newest partner, HireMilitary — led by founder and CEO Michael Quinn — is helping servicemembers and employers receive complete transition lifecycle support. The organization was created by Veterans who learned what kind of support and guidance is needed by navigating the path of their own military transitions. Now, they assist others by applying their collective experience in order to help active-duty military members who are on the verge of making their own transitions into the civilian workforce.
HireMilitary’s mission success is achieved by connecting servicemembers directly to employers that offer the meaningful careers they’re looking for — in line with the unique skills gained through their military experience — including opportunities requiring a security clearance. Taking advantage of cloud and mobile platforms to connect military bases, military services, and social media platforms, HireMilitary helps transitioning servicemembers access DoD SkillBridge internships and tech-enabled hiring events on military installations worldwide. In fact, it’s the only job board that is solely focused on transitioning members of the military community.
As our new partner, HireMilitary will help promote AAFMAA’s internship opportunities to transitioning servicemembers in support of possible future careers within all business units at AAFMAA. Together, HireMilitary and AAFMAA will leverage the DoD SkillBridge program to provide various internships to transitioning servicemembers to enhance their experience with the jobs of being able to hire them when they have fully transitioned out of the military.
