We are pleased to announce that AAFMAA has been distinguished once again as a Military Saves Savings Champion — the second time in consecutive years. The Savings Champion Award recognizes organizations that go above and beyond their call of duty to share the importance of financial savings with military families throughout the month of April, also known as Military Saves Month.
“AAFMAA is honored to receive the Savings Champion Award for the second time, two years in a row. For 143 years, we have been helping military, Veterans and their families achieve their financial goals and protect their family. Financial savings are the most foundational step to protecting your family and pursuing financial independence,” said Jerry Quinn, Chief Operating Officer of AAFMAA and Colonel in the U. S. Army Reserve.
The Savings Champion Award is a national recognition. Hundreds of organizations around the world, including non-profits, military installations, and government agencies, participate in Military Saves Month each year, going the extra mile to help military families save money and assess their financial habits. Winners are selected by the Military Saves selection committee, comprised of staff and leadership in all of its program initiatives. The goal of participating organizations is to encourage the military community to make a commitment and savings plan through the Military Saves Pledge.
“Military Saves helps bring sound financial habits to life for thousands of families. AAFMAA is proud to partner with this trusted and quality program,” Quinn notes.
