Data is safeguarded using industry standards and best practices. Data classification and retention programs are in place and applied encryption techniques are used. AAFMAA extensively utilizes Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and security software, protocols and devices within the operational infrastructure to provide protection to AAFMAA websites, systems and data.
