Paula Haider
Membership Coordinator
Paula Haider joined AAFMAA in 2023 as a Membership Coordinator, bringing with her a passion for serving the military community and a desire to create an exceptional Membership experience by helping current and prospective Members find the right budget-friendly insurance solutions.
Paula and her husband, a retired Army Veteran and civilian test pilot, have been married over 30 years. They met at Fort Hood (now Fort Cavazos) after Desert Storm, while Paula was there on assignment, and have loved the adventures of military life! They have two adult children, with one serving in the US Navy and the other attending college. As the spouse of a retired US Army Veteran and a US Navy parent, Paula understands the unique challenges and needs of AAFMAA Members.
Paula brings 20 years of experience in military and chamber of commerce publications. For more than 10 years, she has been serving in many community volunteer leadership roles, where she connected with others serving a common cause in the military community. She has a talent for working on process improvement, especially with new program implementation, and enjoys problem solving. Her background includes commercial real estate office management, as well.
She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the University of Texas, Austin and is a Leadership Hunstville Focus graduate. She is also a Certified Health Coach and has been an AAFMAA Member for 30 years
After a busy life season of taking care of aging parents and being a school volunteer leader, Paula has discovered the new world of being an empty nester with her husband! She enjoys spending time in neighborhood and church activities, traveling, reading, walking, golfing, and staying connected with family and friends across the country.
