Manny Atencio
Membership Coordinator
Manny Atencio has served as a Membership Coordinator at AAFMAA since May 2021. In his role, Manny assists current and prospective Members in understanding their insurance needs and options.
Manny earned a M.Ed. in Lifelong Learning and Adult Education from the Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, he earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Villanova University.
Manny and his wife, Daneen, live in El Paso, TX with their son Derek and three dogs Rusty, Bear, and Maci. They enjoy going to El Paso Chihuahua Baseball games and spending quality time together. Manny and his family enjoy giving back to the community through volunteer opportunities.
Manny served in the Army for 31 years, retiring as an Instructor and Chair/Vice Chair for the Department of Command Leadership at the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. His first job outside of the Military was as an Assistant Principal of Operations at IDEA Public Schools.
