How did Armed Forces Mutual originate?
Our story began in 1879, following the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Originally known as the Army Mutual Aid Association, we were founded by Army Officers to provide financial support to the bereaved families of fallen Soldiers. The goal was simple and urgent: to help ensure that no military family would be left behind. That legacy of care and service continues through everything we do today.
