Amy Marotto
Member Benefits Team Leader
Amy Marotto currently serving as Member Benefits Team Leader. She has been with AAFMAA for four years, and is responsible for ensuring MB team members receive timely and appropriate training and information so that they can assist our members seeking guidance on military/government benefits, survivor benefits, AAFMAA member benefits to include partnership benefits that might be of need to them. Our members seek us out when they are transitioning out of the military, have major life changes, or have general questions about benefits.
Amy holds an MS in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University (Nacogdoches, Texas) as well as a BS in Education from the University of North Texas (Denton). She is an educator at heart and substance, which is why the Member Benefits team at AAFMAA is such a good role for her. She is skilled in assessing when people have a gap in what they know and what they need to know and then assisting them in filling that knowledge gap.
Amy and her husband have been married almost 35 years, have two grown children (daughters) and two adorable grandchildren. Her family is her passion, but is also a foodie and wine enthusiast, and loves to cook and eat in general! She supports her community through activities within the Fort Hood Spouse’s Club.
Amy is the spouse of an active-duty US Army officer stationed currently at Fort Cavazos, Texas, formerly referred to as Fort Hood. They have been married for most of his military career as when we met, he was an ROTC cadet and was already serving in the national guard. He served in the guard and reserves for many years while we maintained regular civilian lives. Later he was mobilized after the events of September 11, 2001, and eventually transferred to the regular army.
Prior to joining AAFMAA, she was an educator for approximately 20 years. She has taught in the elementary school classroom in several locations, was a district-level administrator in Texas and substitute taught while they were stationed overseas.
