Ian Shannon
Email Automation Specialist
Ian Shannon is the Email Automation Specialist for AAFMAA Wealth Management & Trust LLC (AWM&T). In his role, he oversees the Hubspot platform and all email marketing communications, including implementing essential best practices and building out base-level automations. Ian’s goal is to build a world-class digital marketing program for AWM&T and to help connect members of the American Military Community to AAFMAA personnel who can serve their family’s needs.
He joined AWM&T as a marketing intern, and was hired as a member of the Growth Team in 2020. Ian graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelors in Marketing and a Bachelors in History in 2021. His paper, “Blueshirts, Greenshirts, and the Red Scare: The Fascist Failure in Ireland”, which focused on Eoin O’Duffy’s leadership of Fine Gael and the National Corporate Party, was published by the History Department in January of 2019.
Ian lives in Norfolk with his wife and children, and their dog Momo. He is a hobbyist writer, and enjoys creating microfiction in his spare time.
